More information has been revealed lately about the rumor that the U.S. Treasury Department may delay the enforcement date of the UIGEA.
An official statement of Rep. Barney Frank is expected to be made that Treasury Secretary has accepted the PPA’s petition for a delay of 6 months.
The PPA has not commented, stating they are waiting for the official word from the Treasury Department.
It is hoped that the additional time will give a chance for bills HR 2266 and HR 2267 to repeal the UIGEA.
