Full Tilt Poker suspected to have broken US Money Laundering Laws

The Financial Times reported this week, that online poker room Full Tilt Poker is currently being investigated by a federal grand jury after being suspected to have violated US gambling regulations and money laundering relevant laws. If Full Tilt Poker is found to have operated against US Laws, company owners such as famous poker stars Chris Ferguson and Howard Lederer, could face charges.

Online Poker is illegal in USA, however an estimated of 2.5 million people generated a $30 billion sum on online poker sites yearly, with PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker claiming an average of 70% of the industry’s revenue.
